About Us
Podernuovo was born in 1959 as a farm. The winery is located in the wonderful border area between the Val d'Orcia and Montalcino, in the heart of Tuscany. We are proud to offer the best wines from our 10 hectares of vineyards cultivated with care and passion. The unique location of our vineyards allows us to capture the best qualities of the two territories famous for their fine wines. The DOC Orcia
The DOC Orcia is the last born in the "Terre di Siena" family of wines. Recognized as an IGT wine since 1995, it only obtained the DOC designation in 2000.
The Cellar
The cellar is located on the outskirts of Montalcino, a few kilometers from the vineyards. We take care of every aspect of our production, from the manual harvest to the transport of the grapes to the cellar, where they are fermented at a controlled temperature in our steel vats. After the malolactic fermentation, the wines are left to rest in the barrel room, a small cave that previously gave shelter to livestock and now restored, accommodates our wines.
